Job Requirements

  • prior experience in a chinese or dim sum kitchen is an advantage
  • those without experience but with a willingness to learn are welcome
  • able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices

Job Duties

  • assist chefs in preparing dim sum and other menu items
  • carry out basic food preparation tasks such as washing, cutting, and portioning ingredients
  • support daily mise en place for kitchen operations
  • help with steaming, pan-frying, and deep-frying under the chef's guidance
  • maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area, tools, and equipment
  • ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of ingredients and finished products
  • dispose of kitchen waste properly and keep work areas clean and organized
  • adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene standards
  • assist with kitchen opening and closing duties
  • follow instructions and complete tasks assigned by the Head Chef or supervisors
  • work cooperatively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
