Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food preparation or line cooking preferred
- basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices
- ability to stand for long periods of time
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- team lift required for items over 25 pounds or awkward lifting
- good communication skills
- ability to follow instructions
- able to work in a fast-paced environment with pressure
- willingness to learn and take direction
Job Qualifications
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
- understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
- previous prep or line cook experience

Job Duties
- Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines
- prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
- restocks all items as needed throughout shift
- cleans and maintains station practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
- understands and properly uses and maintains all equipment in station
- assists with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas
- performs additional responsibilities as requested by Chef or Kitchen Manager
