Job Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of kitchen operations
  • Familiarity with main and satellite kitchens
  • Understanding of food sanitation guidelines
  • Knowledge of kitchen policies and procedures including opening, closing, shopping and prep lists
  • Ability to practice Mis En Place daily
  • Ability to execute egg dishes and sandwiches as assigned
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • Compliance with safety protocols and food handling practices
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to ethical behavior and professionalism

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in a similar position desired
  • Culinary training a plus
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
  • Ability to meet or exceed attendance and punctuality standards
  • Ability to use miscellaneous software and office equipment
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Work collaboratively with front and back of house teams to ensure compliance with quality, presentation, and portion control standards
  • Adhere to proper handling, HACCP, labeling, and storage protocols for all foods and relevant food service regulations
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a culture of safety
  • Maintain documentation of temperature charts and records
  • Maintain open communication and professional relationships with all community departments and support teams
  • Actively participate in planning and production meetings
  • Attend and participate in required in-service training and education programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Chef or Director of Dining Services
