Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull continuously
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform all essential functions within varying temperature ranges
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Culinary Arts or Culinary Apprenticeship preferred
- One or more years of experience in a fast-paced, cook to order kitchen preferred
- One or more years of experience with scratch cooking preferred
- Sauté and/or broiler experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to use kitchen equipment and utensils proficiently
- Ability to work continuously without extended sitting
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Prepare quality food items including meats, vegetables, potatoes, bread, and desserts
- Control quality and quantity of food prepared in the station
- Model professional, friendly, courteous behavior consistent with The Sterling Touch®
- Work under guidance of Executive Chef following established community standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines strictly
- Assist with training and communication with kitchen staff
