Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of high-volume kitchen experience
  • Food Handler certification
  • Ability to work with griddle and fryer equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain standards

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handler certification
  • Knowledge of restaurant prep and cooking methods
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Supervisory experience or progressive management (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Prep according to the daily or weekly par
  • Cook and package batches of food such as hamburgers prepared to order or kept warm until sold
  • Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer working on several different orders simultaneously
  • Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food requirements and prepare and cook food according to instructions
  • Measure ingredients required for specific food items
  • Wash cut and prepare foods designated for cooking
  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment including deep-fat fryers or griddles
  • Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
  • Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings for instructions
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with management and coworkers
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards
  • Additional duties as needed by the position
