Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous kitchen or cooking experience is beneficial
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to adhere to restaurant dress code and grooming standards
- Must pass necessary health and safety inspections
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Dependability in attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction
- Must have a valid health card or equivalent
- Must be able to perform simple math calculations and understand units and measures
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for the duration of shifts
- Must have physical ability to stand, walk, lift, stoop, and bend
- Must exhibit hand coordination and dexterity for rapid production
Job Duties
- Follows all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Line Cook Training Manual
- Maintains a positive attendance record by reporting to work 10 minutes prior to shifts and following time off procedures
- Adheres to all sanitation and safety standards and maintains a score of 90 percent or better on audits
- Meets uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified
- Maintains the guest service philosophy with a customer complaint ratio less than 1 per 100 customers
- Knows all menu items and accurately explains specials and substitutions to front-of-house staff
- Determines par levels and prepares daily prep lists with minimal waste
- Communicates orders accurately to station cooks
- Prepares and verifies menu items meet company quality standards
- Communicates promptly with expediter/server when orders are ready
- Follows food receiving and storage processes with accuracy
- Completes meals at each table within an hour
- Performs side work as specified
- Completes end-of-shift procedures accurately
- Supports team environment by assisting other team members when needed
