Job Duties
- set up and stock workstations with appropriate supplies and tools
- assist with stocking incoming inventory
- prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
- cook menu items in cooperation with head chef and other kitchen employees
- clean up station and appropriately manage leftover food
- manage timing of food preparation to ensure food comes out simultaneously while paying close attention to quality
- maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards and regulations ensuring food is received, stored, and prepared according to standards
- assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies
- may be involved in planning, organization, and implementation of special events, specific projects, or program changes
- complete other related duties as assigned by supervisor
