Job Duties

  • set up and stock workstations with appropriate supplies and tools
  • assist with stocking incoming inventory
  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • cook menu items in cooperation with head chef and other kitchen employees
  • clean up station and appropriately manage leftover food
  • manage timing of food preparation to ensure food comes out simultaneously while paying close attention to quality
  • maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards and regulations ensuring food is received, stored, and prepared according to standards
  • assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies
  • may be involved in planning, organization, and implementation of special events, specific projects, or program changes
  • complete other related duties as assigned by supervisor
