Job Requirements

  • Experience in the foodservice industry

  • Accuracy and speed in task execution
  • Creativity to determine daily specials based on inventory
  • Ability to study the menu thoroughly
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work standing for long periods

Job Duties

  • Food preparation including chopping vegetables, making soup, slicing meat/cheese
  • Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies including checking inventory and slacking meat
  • Cooking menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff
  • Preparing meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using various kitchen equipment according to standardized recipes
  • Assuming 100% responsibility for the quality of products served
  • Consistently complying with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures
  • Ensuring food is served simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely manner
  • Complying with nutrition, sanitation regulations, and safety standards
  • Cleaning up station at the end of the shift
  • Maintaining positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
