Job Requirements

  • Must take and pass all training tests with 90 percent and higher
  • Knife set should be acquired within 30 days of hire
  • Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time
  • Follow all policies regarding scheduling and attendance
  • Regular attendance is essential
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment including facemask, non-slip shoes, back belt, and safety glove
  • Ability to stand and walk constantly during the shift
  • Ability to lift and carry 11-20 lbs constantly and 21-50 lbs frequently
  • Ability to bend frequently
  • Ability to reach above shoulder frequently
  • Ability to push/pull 13-25 lbs constantly and 26-40 lbs frequently

Job Qualifications

  • Six months prep cook experience within an HCR restaurant or minimum one year external line cook experience
  • Ability to take care of customers needs while following company procedures
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
  • Ability to work safely by following safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand comments and questions of others
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, guests, and management
  • Ability to receive and follow directions from supervisors
  • Ability to pay attention to minute details
  • Ability to work together as a team in a positive manner
  • Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor and bring energy to tasks
  • Neat and well groomed

Job Duties

  • Read and understand recipes and POS generated tickets
  • Cut foods as specified by recipe
  • Weigh, measure, and prepare foods according to recipe specifications using station checklists
  • Prepare meats, vegetables, batters, sauces, and dressings according to recipes for use at station
  • Bake or cook certain food items according to guest order and recipes
  • Clean and sanitize all parts of the assigned station throughout each shift as required and specified in the daily checklist
  • Assist others as needed
