Job Requirements
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and varied shifts
- create and design new and unique menu items
- assist Executive Chef with department budgets and adhere to budget guidelines
- ensure consistent food and beverage preparation according to hotel standards
- maintain cleanliness and operational condition of equipment
- understand and comply with all relevant health, safety, and labor regulations
- maintain physical stamina to perform job duties
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a line cook or relevant role
- great attention to detail and creativity
- high school diploma or equivalent
- culinary certification preferred
- food safety certification preferred
- in-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques, and nutrition
- ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers
- physical strength and stamina for long hours standing and repetitive motions
Job Duties
- Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service for menu items and specials
- maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
- create and design new and unique menu items
- assist the Executive Chef in budget establishment and adherence
- ensure consistent preparation and serving of food and beverages according to hotel standards
- keep all kitchen equipment clean and in excellent working order through inspections and preventative maintenance
- comply with all health, safety, and labor regulations
- communicate effectively with guests, management, and co-workers
