Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree preferred
  • Six months related experience and/or training as a cook or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must obtain ServSafe Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Valid State of Florida Driver's License with a good driving record

Job Duties

  • Set up and stock food prep stations with all necessary supplies
  • Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
  • Prepare food for service including chopping vegetables, cooking main dishes, and preparing sauces
  • Cook menu items according to chef's instructions and cooperate with kitchen staff
  • Maintain a clean and orderly station
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment used including tables, shelves, fryers, saute burners, ovens, griddles, and refrigeration equipment
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Ensure kitchen operational procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Report on low inventory levels and supplies needed
  • Perform portion control and minimize waste
  • Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products
  • Ensure products are kept at proper temperatures
