Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years experience in culinary arts
  • Ability to work long hours (around 14 hours per day)
  • Experience preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
  • Successful completion of criminal background check
  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of culinary experience in full-service resort, hotel, country club or full-service restaurant
  • Experience cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Familiarity with food safety standards
  • Ability to multitask, take direction, and work well as a team player
  • Ability to work with composure under pressure
  • Possess problem solving, organizational skills, and self-motivation
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow cooking recipes
  • Effective time management and leadership skills
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to complete a criminal background check
  • Possession of Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

Job Duties

  • Work directly with the Executive Chef/Sous Chef to produce diversified meals based off of fresh ingredients
  • Organize workload in the kitchen to ensure efficient kitchen processes
  • Produce high-quality dishes that follow established menu choices
  • Adhere to guests' dietary requests
  • Maintain order and discipline in the kitchen during work hours
  • Ensure hygiene and food safety standards throughout food preparation
  • Prepare meals quickly while maintaining quality
  • Enforce food and safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers during meal services
