Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 6-12 months culinary/kitchen experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly with team members
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift 30lbs regularly
  • Must be flexible to work nights and weekends
  • Must be 18 years of age or provide proof of work permit
  • Food Handler Certification (Basic Food Safety) required

Job Duties

  • Work closely with the Culinary Team and support overall café operations
  • Have full understanding and knowledge of the Erewhon brand and café menu
  • Assist in preparing and cooking various food items according to quality standards and portions
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned by Culinary Manager
  • Complete end of day inventory and other duties following company procedures
  • Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, equipment, and coolers
  • Assist Culinary Team with incoming orders and proper storage
  • Operate basic kitchen equipment safely
  • Follow proper knife safety procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
