Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs following appropriate safety procedures
  • Ability to work in various positions including stooping, standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting for extended periods
  • Ability to climb stairs and navigate the property quickly and easily
  • Ability to work extended and flexible hours including weekends
  • Ability to repeat various motions with wrists, hands, and fingers

Job Duties

  • Work with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to deliver vibrant menus
  • Ensure all safety procedures are being followed and the kitchen meets all federal, state, and local health, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Apply basic cooking techniques such as braising, sautéing, roasting, grilling, and understand recipes, ratios, and portion controls
  • Demonstrate basic knife handling skills and correct use of each knife
  • Participate in catering food and beverage functions
  • Actively engage in daily prep and kitchen setup
  • Maintain a high level of energy and passion throughout service hours
  • Manage inventory and production efficiently and timely
  • Understand inventory and product controls within culinary guidelines
  • Work effectively in all service types including a la carte and buffet
  • Maintain a spotless kitchen and uphold proper hygiene and grooming standards
