Job Requirements

  • Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or move goods weighing up to 100 lbs
  • manual dexterity to operate kitchen tools like knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, and slicers
  • ability to work in extreme temperature conditions
  • ability to perform duties in confined spaces
  • frequent twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling
  • willingness to adhere to company safety and security policies

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current food handler card
  • minimum 2 years cooking experience preferred
  • broiler cooking experience preferred
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
  • understanding of service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking techniques
  • knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • basic math skills for recipe measurements and portion control
  • basic English language proficiency for communication
  • ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • ability to operate beverage equipment such as coffee makers

Job Duties

  • Prepares daily preparation lists for production
  • reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • visually inspects and selects only high-quality food items for menu preparation
  • checks and controls proper storage and portion control, especially for specific meat cuts
  • maintains cleanliness and working condition of refrigeration, equipment, and work areas in compliance with health regulations
  • keeps all cooling, heating, and temperature logs
  • adheres to company policies and safety procedures
  • follows fire prevention and emergency protocols
  • utilizes protective equipment and reports unsafe conditions
  • maintains neat and well-groomed appearance
  • performs related duties as requested by management
  • assists other kitchen personnel when needed
