Job Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), such as food trays, pots, or kitchen supplies
- perform repetitive motions, such as chopping, stirring, and kneading
- work in a hot and humid environment near ovens, grills, and stoves
- maintain physical stamina to handle long shifts in a fast-paced setting
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant kitchen
- knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment
- ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
- strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items following recipes and quality standards
- set up and stock stations with necessary supplies, ingredients, and equipment
- ensure food is cooked to the proper temperature and presentation
- maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
- assist with food preparation tasks, such as chopping, slicing, and marinating
- adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
- monitor inventory and report low stock levels to the kitchen manager
- perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager
