Job Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
  • lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), such as food trays, pots, or kitchen supplies
  • perform repetitive motions, such as chopping, stirring, and kneading
  • work in a hot and humid environment near ovens, grills, and stoves
  • maintain physical stamina to handle long shifts in a fast-paced setting

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant kitchen
  • knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment
  • ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items following recipes and quality standards
  • set up and stock stations with necessary supplies, ingredients, and equipment
  • ensure food is cooked to the proper temperature and presentation
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • assist with food preparation tasks, such as chopping, slicing, and marinating
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
  • monitor inventory and report low stock levels to the kitchen manager
  • perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager
