Job Requirements

  • Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler's certification
  • Certification(s) must be obtained by first day or within location-required timeline
  • Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant needs
  • Must be able to stand for several hours
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various heights
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to serve guests' needs with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to have fun

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures

Job Duties

  • Master the fry station, ensuring all fried items are cooked to perfection with the right crispiness and flavor
  • Operate the grill station, cooking proteins to the correct temperature and ensuring each taco ingredient is grilled to perfection
  • Manage the sauté station, handling various ingredients to create dishes that are flavorful and perfectly cooked
  • Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes that require steaming, maintaining the right texture and flavor
  • Assemble and build each taco to order, ensuring each one meets high standards and guests' expectations
  • Prepare and cook a variety of ingredients on grill, fryer, sauté, and steam stations according to recipes and standards
  • Monitor quality and presentation of each dish, ensuring every taco meets standards before reaching the guest
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times
  • Collaborate with other back of house team members to ensure timely and correct food preparation
  • Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients, ensuring kitchen readiness before and during service
  • Operate with urgency during busy periods to meet guest demand while maintaining food quality and presentation
