Job Requirements

  • high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
  • culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • open availability
  • must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • must be able to pass a mandatory drug test and criminal background check
  • active California Food Handlers Certificate/Card required
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
  • must be able to walk, stand, and bend for 3 or more hours a day
  • must be able to perform repetitive hand actions such as grasping, pushing, pulling and reaching
  • may be exposed to noise, dust, gas, flames, chemicals, and temperature extremes
  • must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • ensure all food is prepared and presented according to recipes and presentation standards
  • provide consistent safe and sanitary food storage, preparation and cooking
  • monitor and control maintenance and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
  • recognize and follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and grains including proper storage
  • utilize leftovers effectively and control waste
  • take direction and be flexible in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • work cooperatively as a team player in a confined space
