Job Requirements
- Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification
- Obtain certification by first day or within required timeline
- Previous cooking experience preferred
- Open to varied work schedules and hours based on restaurant needs
- Ability to stand for several hours
- Ability to bend stretch twist or reach for objects at various heights
- Ability to lift push pull or carry objects up to 40 pounds
- Ability to serve guest needs with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to have fun
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a kitchen or cooking role preferred
- Food Handler’s certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work in a fast-paced high volume environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain quality standards
Job Duties
- Master the fry station ensuring fried items are cooked to perfection
- Operate the grill station cooking proteins to correct temperatures and grill taco ingredients
- Manage the sauté station handling various ingredients to create flavorful dishes
- Operate steam equipment to prepare dishes requiring steaming maintaining texture and flavor
- Assemble and build each taco to order ensuring high standards and guest expectations
- Prepare and cook ingredients on grill fryer sauté and steam stations according to recipes
- Monitor quality and presentation of each dish ensuring standards are met
- Maintain clean and organized workstation ensuring food safety and sanitation
- Collaborate with BOH team members to ensure timely and correct food preparation
- Assist with stocking and organizing ingredients ensuring kitchen readiness
- Operate with urgency during busy periods maintaining quality and presentation
