Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • must be 18 years or older
  • ability to work different shifts including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
  • ability to stand for long periods (4-10 hours)
  • ability to carry up to 80 pounds and push/pull up to 1000 pounds
  • capability to operate heavy machinery
  • may be required to pass physical culinary skills test
  • may be required to pass written culinary skills test
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • ability to follow directions independently

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a line cook or in a similar food preparation role preferred

Job Duties

  • Responsible for all aspects of customer service
  • interact directly with customers at work station
  • prepare both hot and cold foods using kitchen equipment including pizza oven, charbroiler, griddle, steam table, blast chiller, combitherm, wok, tilt skillet, fryer, convection oven
  • pack, merchandise, and label food items ensuring proper rotation and price integrity
  • cut, weigh, and package deli meats and prepared foods
  • maintain quality control
  • follow rules and regulations of government and regulatory agencies
  • adhere to company programs, philosophies, and mission statements
  • ensure safe and proper maintenance of kitchen equipment
  • understand and follow recipes
  • maintain production and dump logs
  • restock utensils, bags, cups, napkins, drinks, and condiments
  • set up and break down service line and back kitchen areas
  • perform cleaning duties including washing dishes, trash disposal, and sanitation
  • answer departmental phone
  • make store announcements
  • perform demonstrations
  • perform other duties as directed by management
