Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • proven experience as cook
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • current Food Handlers or Managers Certificate
  • ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for extended periods
  • good organizational and verbal skills
  • ability to follow instructions and work within guidelines
  • availability for shift work according to assignments

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as cook
  • experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bake ware
  • knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods including grilling, baking, and boiling
  • ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • ability to work in a team
  • very good communication skills
  • excellent physical condition and stamina
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • diploma from a culinary school is an advantage

Job Duties

  • Comply with written standardized food recipes and beverages to ensure the production of consistent quality and portion control
  • receive and check food and supplies into the kitchen and storerooms including inspecting condition of contents, checking against invoices and orders, and freshness of products
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas as instructed by the Chef or General Manager
  • complete opening and closing checklists as outlined by the Chef or General Manager
  • protect the assets of the Club
  • operate within the guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by Hampton Golf
  • maintain Food Handlers or Managers Certificate
  • assist with other duties as needed
