Job Duties

  • adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with health code regulations
  • possess strong knife handling skills and knowledge of food preparation
  • assist in preparing daily menu items and specials with minimal guidance
  • ensure that the team follows recipes, presentation guidelines, and high standards
  • monitor food supply, including cuts of meat, sauces, par-cooked items, spices, vegetables, and other condiments to ensure adequate daily supply
  • effectively communicate with team members regarding menu items, catering requests, deliveries, and kitchen issues
  • ensure the breakdown of the station, labeling, and storing food in accordance with procedures at the end of the shift
  • assist in the daily delivery and pick-up of catering orders in various locations
  • delegate tasks to prep cooks and stewards, as necessary
  • maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
