Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years cooking experience preferred
- Current Food Handler Card
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs
- Basic math and English language skills required
- Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to perform duties under extreme temperatures and in confined spaces
- Must follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Must maintain a neat and clean appearance as per company standards
Job Qualifications
- Hold a current Food Handler Card
- Preferably 2 years cooking experience with broiler cooking
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
- Good knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
- Understanding of sanitation standards
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
- Basic math skills
- Basic English language proficiency to communicate and understand instructions
- Ability to follow written product labeling
- Ability to operate beverage equipment
Job Duties
- Prepares daily preparation lists for production
- Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
- Prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
- Inspects and selects food items of the highest standard for menu preparation
- Checks and controls proper storage and portion control especially for specific cuts of meat
- Maintains cleanliness and working condition of refrigeration, equipment, and storage areas
- Keeps logs of cooling, heating, and temperature
- Adheres to company policies and safety procedures
- Reports unsafe conditions and accidents to management
- Assists other kitchen personnel when needed
- Performs any related duties as requested by management
