Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant culinary or restaurant experience preferred
  • Food Handler Certification if applicable
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of previous experience in restaurant or culinary role in high volume, full service restaurant preferred
  • Trained in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage
  • Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision
  • Time management and organizational ability for high quality food production
  • Food Handler Certification if applicable
  • Able to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Able to establish positive rapport with diverse personalities
  • Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to the guests in a timely manner
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • Follow item specifications including preparation, execution, and presentation
  • Know and comply with standard portion size, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies and procedures
  • Prevent food spoilage and contamination by implementing proper sanitation practices and complying with health regulations
  • Maintain a clean work station area including grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment
  • Assist in daily cleaning of pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, stairs, walk-in and prep area
  • Report maintenance or repairs needed to the Executive Chef
  • Follow departmental policies as well as restaurant rules and regulations set forth in the Employee Handbook and by management
