Job Requirements
- Food Handler Card
- 2 years cooking experience preferred
- broiler cooking experience preferred
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation
- familiarity with sanitation standards
- ability to operate kitchen equipment
- basic math skills
- basic English reading and communication skills
- ability to lift and move heavy items up to 100 lbs
- ability to work in extreme temperature conditions
- ability to stand for long periods
- manual dexterity for kitchen tools
Job Qualifications
- Current Food Handler Card
- minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferred
- broiler cooking experience preferred
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and guest service standards
- good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
- understanding of accepted sanitation standards
- knowledge of operating kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles
- basic math skills for recipe and portion understanding
- ability to comprehend and communicate in English
- ability to read and apply written product labeling instructions
- ability to operate beverage equipment
Job Duties
- Prepares daily preparation lists for production
- reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
- prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest orders to ensure product consistency
- visually inspects and selects high-quality food items
- checks and controls proper storage of products and portion sizes
- maintains clean and sanitary refrigeration, equipment, and working areas to comply with health regulations
- maintains all logs related to cooling, heating, and temperature
- adheres to company policies and safety procedures
- knows and follows fire prevention and emergency procedures
- utilizes protective equipment
- reports unsafe conditions and incidents to management
- ensures safe work environment
- maintains neat and clean personal appearance
- performs related duties as assigned by management
- assists other kitchen personnel as needed
