Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary experience or formal training preferred
  • open availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • legal authorization to work in the u.s.
  • ability to pass drug screening and background check
  • possession of a valid california food handlers certificate
  • physical ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
  • ability to stand, walk and bend for extended hours
  • repetitive hand use including grasping, manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • tolerance to kitchen environment including noise, heat and chemicals
  • ability to perform duties with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with appropriate recipes and presentation on a consistent basis
  • provide consistent safe and sanitary food storage, preparation and cooking
  • monitor and control maintenance/sanitation of the kitchen and equipment
  • recognize and follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and grains, including proper storage of these items
  • utilize leftovers effectively and control waste
  • be flexible and able to take direction
  • work with others as a team player in a small confined space
