Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- culinary experience or formal training preferred
- open availability including evenings, weekends and holidays
- legal authorization to work in the u.s.
- ability to pass drug screening and background check
- possession of a valid california food handlers certificate
- physical ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- ability to stand, walk and bend for extended hours
- repetitive hand use including grasping, manipulation, pushing and pulling
- tolerance to kitchen environment including noise, heat and chemicals
- ability to perform duties with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma, g.e.d., or equivalent
- culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience
- open availability
- must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the u.s.
- must be able to pass a mandatory drug test and criminal background check
- active california food handlers certificate/card required for this position
Job Duties
- ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with appropriate recipes and presentation on a consistent basis
- provide consistent safe and sanitary food storage, preparation and cooking
- monitor and control maintenance/sanitation of the kitchen and equipment
- recognize and follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and grains, including proper storage of these items
- utilize leftovers effectively and control waste
- be flexible and able to take direction
- work with others as a team player in a small confined space
