Job Requirements

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • 2 years cooking experience preferred
  • knowledge of basic food and beverage preparations
  • ability to work varied shifts within a 24/7 operation
  • ability to lift and move goods weighing up to 100 lbs
  • good manual dexterity to use kitchen tools
  • ability to perform duties in extreme temperature ranges
  • ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • maintain neat and clean appearance
  • follow company policies
  • ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • 2 years cooking experience preferred
  • broiler cooking experience preferred
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
  • good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
  • knowledge of operating kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles
  • basic math skills to understand recipes, measurements, requisition amounts and portion sizes
  • basic English language skills sufficient to understand and communicate simple instructions
  • ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • ability to operate beverage equipment like coffee makers

Job Duties

  • Prepares daily preparation lists for production
  • reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest check specifications
  • visually inspects, selects, and uses only food items of the highest standard
  • checks and controls proper storage of product and portion control
  • keeps all refrigeration, equipment, and storage and working areas clean and compliant with health regulations
  • maintains all logs related to cooling, heating, and temperature
  • adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • follows safety and security procedures and rules
  • knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilizes protective equipment
  • reports unsafe conditions and accidents to management
  • provides a safe work environment
  • maintains a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • performs related duties as requested by management
  • assists other kitchen personnel when needed
