Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cooking experience in a healthcare or senior living environment preferred
  • Ability to work Monday through Saturday 11am to 7:30pm and Sundays 7am to 3pm
  • Successful completion of background screening
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties
  • Must be reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • Proven cooking experience preferably in healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living settings
  • Excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain quality standards
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • Prepare food for service including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff
  • Ensure food is of high quality and served in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with team to ensure simultaneous food delivery
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations
