Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cooking experience in a healthcare or senior living environment preferred
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday 11am to 7:30pm and Sundays 7am to 3pm
- Successful completion of background screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties
- Must be reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- Proven cooking experience preferably in healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living settings
- Excellent understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain quality standards
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- Prepare food for service including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces
- Cook menu items in cooperation with kitchen staff
- Ensure food is of high quality and served in a timely manner
- Coordinate with team to ensure simultaneous food delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
