Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a culinary role
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for Japanese cuisine and culinary arts

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavors
  • A genuine love for culinary experiences and a passion for Japanese cuisine
  • Naturally friendly, customer-oriented, and skilled at creating memorable dining experiences
  • A natural team player who is comfortable working in sync with a large team
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese-inspired dishes according to Zuma's recipes and standards
  • Work efficiently on the hot line, grill, or other designated stations as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef
  • Execute all food orders with accuracy and consistency, ensuring timely delivery to guests
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and food presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, equipment, and storage areas
