Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a line cook or in a similar fast-paced restaurant role
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
- physical ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen duties
- must obtain Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire
- must obtain California Responsible Beverage Service certification within 60 days of hire
- effective verbal communication skills

Job Duties
- Complete opening and closing checklists
- refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties
- use the standard recipe card for preparing all products
- prepare and cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment
- comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies
- handle, store and rotate all products properly according to health and safety standards
- maintain a clean and sanitary workstation
- cook all food products to required temperatures for guests
- clean and properly wash all used dishes using clean-as-you-go standards
- close the kitchen properly following closing checklist and assist others
- perform other related duties as assigned by the manager-on-duty
