Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Prior experience in kitchen work preferred
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • Friendly and engaging demeanor
  • 18+ years old
  • Prior kitchen work experience preferred
  • ServeSafe Food certificate a plus
  • High school degree or GED preferred
  • Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills required
  • Bi-lingual experience a plus
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
  • Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times

Job Duties

  • Completes all assigned prep work and sets up cook station according to station
  • Maintains product presentations, product quality, and cook time
  • Prepares all menu items according to Applebee's recipes, Plate Presentations
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Practices safe and sanitary food handling at all times
  • Cleans and sanitizes the work area before, during, and after the shift
  • Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning tasks
  • Effectively manages inventory using FIFO
  • Controls food waste, spoilage and food quality
  • Temps all food items per Concord standards
  • Receives all incoming food deliveries
  • Clocks in tickets and assures ticket cook times meet or exceed company and brand standards
  • Performs general utility work including scraping and pre-rinsing food from dirty dishes
  • Washing pots, pans and trays by hand and/or in dishwasher
  • Washing work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment
  • Removing trash and garbage to the dumpster
  • Cleaning garbage cans and trash areas
  • Assembling, maintaining and breaking down dish stations
