Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience preferably in healthcare or senior living
  • ability to work Monday through Saturday 11am to 7:30pm and Sunday 7am to 3pm
  • successful completion of background screening
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • capacity to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • physical ability to perform cooking-related tasks
  • good teamwork and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • proven cooking experience
  • experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, or senior living settings preferred
  • knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and food safety procedures
  • ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff
  • strong attention to detail
  • good time management skills
  • excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • cook menu items cooperatively with kitchen staff
  • ensure food is cooked to high quality and served timely
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies
  • contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
