Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • proven experience as cook
  • ability to use cutting tools and cookware safely
  • knowledge of cooking procedures and methods
  • ability to follow sanitation procedures
  • physical ability to perform moderate to heavy work including lifting up to 40 lbs frequently
  • ability to stand for extended periods up to 5 hours
  • good organizational and verbal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • proven experience as cook
  • experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bake ware
  • knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods such as grilling, baking, boiling
  • ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • ability to work in a team
  • very good communication skills
  • excellent physical condition and stamina
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage

Job Duties

  • comply with written standardized food recipes and beverages to ensure the production of consistent quality and portion control
  • receive and check food and supplies into the kitchen and storerooms, ensuring freshness and proper storage
  • maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas as instructed by the Chef or General Manager
  • complete opening and closing checklists as outlined by the Chef or General Manager
  • protect the assets of the Club
  • operate within the guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by Hampton Golf
  • maintain Food Handlers or Managers Certificate
  • assist with other duties as needed
