Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of cooking experience in an upscale or fine-dining high volume establishment
  • positive attitude sense of responsibility and ownership of the position
  • detail oriented with strong communication skills
  • team oriented with a strong sense of punctuality and reliability
  • basic understanding of recipe preparation cooking and knife handling skills
  • understanding and knowledge of safety sanitation and food handling procedures
  • continuous reaching bending lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • certified for food service as required by state and local agencies

Job Duties

  • prepare dishes from scratch following recipes for consistent results
  • know and comply with standard cooking methods quality standards and kitchen practices
  • cook meats seafood poultry vegetables using broilers ovens grills fryers and other kitchen equipment
  • portion products follow recipes and ensure aesthetically pleasing plate presentation
  • set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • follow safety and sanitation standards keep workstations clean and organized follow all food handling standards
  • adhere to food service safety and sanitation guidelines as required by state and local agencies
