Job Requirements

  • minimum age 18
  • previous experience in a pantry or line cook position
  • knowledge of basic culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience in a pantry or line cook position, preferably in a private club, hotel, or fine dining environment
  • knowledge of basic culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure
  • ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to work in a hot and busy kitchen environment
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to follow recipes and execute consistent plating standards
  • must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred

Job Duties

  • prepare and plate cold appetizers, salads, and desserts in the pantry station
  • assist in cooking and plating hot dishes on the line as needed
  • ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency align with club standards
  • follow recipes and portion control guidelines
  • assist with kitchen prep work, including chopping vegetables, preparing dressings, and assembling ingredients and equipment before cooking
  • operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including storage areas
  • properly label, date, and store food items according to safety regulations
  • adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members
  • assist with inventory management and report shortages to supervisors
  • perform other duties as assigned by supervisors within the scope of the position
