Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two to three years experience in fine dining cuisine
  • Ability to work full time including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds
  • Valid California driver’s license
  • Food Handler Certificate within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and punctuality
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain safety conscious
  • Must be able to adapt to varying kitchen temperatures and conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two or more years experience as a line cook
  • Training at an accredited culinary institute preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of commercial restaurant equipment and kitchen tools
  • Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
  • Professional and service-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Food Handler Certificate within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Prepare and set up of saute station and appetizer set up
  • Assist Chef in set up and cooking of meals as needed
  • Prepare food in accordance with club recipes and standards
  • Clean up saute area and food service line
  • Support the goals and objectives of the company with a professional, service oriented attitude
  • Follow safe work practices at all times
  • Adhere to schedule, report to work on time, well groomed and wearing a clean uniform
  • Prepare meats, seafoods, vegetables and other items as required
  • Follow standard recipes carefully
  • Use food preparation equipment properly
  • Cook and saute food when ordered
  • Use safe and sanitary food handling practices consistently
  • Cover, wrap, and store unused food products properly
  • Return soiled utensils to proper areas
  • Assist with kitchen floor cleaning when needed
