Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- servsafe certification preferred
- at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- 3 to 5 years of experience working in a kitchen
- knowledge of Asian dishes is a plus
- ability to follow recipes and create consistent product
- team player mentality
- proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
- well-groomed appearance
- flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to tolerate areas with secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Qualifications

- experience preparing cold food and salads for counter displays

Job Duties
- Collaborating with the sous chef and room chef to manage scheduling, product availability, employee breaks, daily specials, cleanliness, and safety concerns
- preparing menu items according to the recipes provided by the sous chef or executive chef
- recognizing and correcting any discrepancies in product quality and standards
- cooking all sauteed items to restaurant recipes and standards
- mastering at least one station while maintaining high product quality
- practicing proper knife handling skills
- coordinating with the kitchen team to time dish preparation for synchronized plating and serving
- managing the saute station by organizing ingredients and ensuring everything is stocked and ready for service
- experimenting with new sauteing techniques and ingredients to propose new menu items and specials
- assisting with monthly restaurant inventory
- cleaning and maintaining the saute station including stovetops and utensils
- ensuring no food leaves the kitchen without a ticket including manager's meals
- properly wrapping, labeling, dating, and storing all food items
- performing other duties as assigned to keep the kitchen running smoothly
