Job Requirements

  • Minimum of three years' experience as a lead cook in high-volume kitchens
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays
  • Food safety or food handler certification
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years' experience working as a lead cook in a high-volume kitchen
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Formal culinary training preferred
  • Food safety program certification or food handler certification
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive and professional attitude

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure food quality and safety by adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness during shifts
  • Manage inventory and report any shortages or issues to management
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive and efficient work environment
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, family members, visitors, and fellow team members
