Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of culinary experience
- Able to work a flexible schedule
- Knowledge of state and local health codes
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work all kitchen stations
- Team-oriented mindset
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 12 months of culinary experience as a member of the Great Park Ice and Sports Complex Culinary team
- Must demonstrate excellent knife skills and butchery procedures
- Display excellent cooking skills as determined by chef skills test
- Able to work all kitchen stations equally well
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills
- Able to articulate par levels from any given station
- Able to oversee multiple projects at one time
- Working knowledge of state and local health code requirements
- Able to work a flexible schedule in all kitchen locations
- Team player
- Mastered all Cook 2 responsibilities including multiple kitchen utility
Job Duties
- Fully understand temperature controls and monitor temperature by completing daily Time and Temperature logs for your station
- Ensure accurate labeling, dating, and rotating using the FIFO method for all raw and prepped food products
- Know the eight most common food allergens and follow established standards
- Follow recipe guidelines to prepare food based on the current menu
- Practice proper work procedures, safety, and sanitation standards
- Engage with venue guests and team members to ensure exceptional hospitality is always provided
- Maintain food temperatures, quality, and appearance to established standards
- Know all menu items, ingredients, and preparation
- Be comfortable with the arena and know how to navigate it to assist guests
- Support any other Food and Beverage departments as needed
- Work with operations counterparts to ensure event standards of service are reached
- Perform additional responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the Food and Beverage management team
