Job Requirements

  • high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
  • open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • must be able to pass a mandatory drug test and criminal background check
  • active California Food Handlers Certificate/Card required
  • must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds
  • must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 3 or more hours a day
  • must be able to perform repetitive use of hands including grasping, pushing, pulling and reaching
  • must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
  • culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • valid California Food Handlers Certificate/Card
  • ability to pass a drug test and criminal background check
  • able to lift up to 100 pounds and perform repetitive physical tasks
  • strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with appropriate recipes and presentation on a consistent basis
  • provide consistent safe and sanitary food storage, preparation and cooking
  • monitor and control maintenance/sanitation of the kitchen and equipment
  • recognize and follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and grains, including proper storage
  • effective utilization of leftovers and control of waste
  • take direction and be flexible
  • work with others as a team player in a small confined space
