Job Requirements

  • Must have one or more years of experience as a line cook
  • Culinary education and supervisory background desirable
  • Knowledge of menu presentation, food preparation, production, food delivery systems, and utility
  • Ability to plan and organize work, interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards
  • Prefer experience cooking from scratch and batch cooking
  • ServSafe certified

Job Duties

  • Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization
  • Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards
  • Produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria
  • Exhibit cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production
  • Assist with serving meals and ware washing as necessary
  • Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service quality and conduct evaluations to improve operations and procedures
  • Represent the community warmly to create a positive marketing environment
  • Support a culture where business decisions and employee engagement drive revenue and occupancy
