Job Requirements

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferred
  • knowledge of broiler cooking techniques
  • understanding of food and beverage preparation standards
  • familiarity with sanitation standards
  • ability to read and follow recipes
  • capable of operating kitchen equipment safely
  • basic mathematical skills
  • sufficient English to communicate and understand instructions
  • ability to work in extreme temperature conditions
  • physical ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs
  • manual dexterity to use kitchen tools
  • able to work in confined spaces

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • 2 years cooking experience preferred
  • broiler cooking preferred
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
  • knowledge of sanitation standards
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles
  • basic math skills
  • basic English language proficiency
  • ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepares daily preparation lists for production
  • reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • visually inspects, selects, and uses only food items of the highest standard
  • checks and controls proper storage of products and portion control
  • keeps refrigeration, equipment, and work areas clean and operational
  • maintains logs for cooling, heating, and temperature
  • adheres to company policies and safety procedures
  • knows fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • utilizes protective equipment
  • reports unsafe conditions and incidents to management
  • maintains a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • performs related duties as requested by management
  • assists other kitchen personnel when needed
