Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a professional kitchen or food service environment
  • Safe Staff Certification
  • ability to work part-time hours including evenings and weekends
  • capacity to lift, push, pull, or move up to 55 pounds
  • willingness to work holidays and special events
  • adherence to health and safety standards
  • ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods

Job Duties

  • Produce the daily products of the scheduled station for that shift including deli, grill, and pantry
  • prepare hot and cold items for the Barista and Landing areas daily
  • create, prepare, produce, bake all pastries, breads, rolls, and desserts for restaurants and banquets
  • maintain adequate supply of all prepared products and ensure proper storage and refrigeration
  • minimize spoilage and waste by ordering proper quantities and rotating products
  • develop new products for a la carte and catering menus on a rotating basis
  • use hand mixers, electric mixers, and cooking machinery to blend ingredients and create high-quality baked goods
  • cook prepared dough in ovens or on grills using appropriate molds, pans or sheets
  • perform routine checks on raw materials for quality and expiration
  • inspect baked goods for quality and remove any damaged items
  • complete set-up, production, and clean-up lists daily
  • account for daily clean-up of the workstation
  • stock all items needed for each shift
  • assist Executive Chef or Sous Chefs as directed
  • maintain a clean and safe environment
  • abide by the State of Florida health standards
  • complete and maintain Safe Staff Certification
