Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of culinary experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant
- Ability to perform various cooking techniques and butchery skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a line cook or chef de partie in a high volume, upscale restaurant with minimum consecutive tenure of one year
- Proven ability to successfully work each station
- Ability to train new line cooks on each station
- Demonstrated dependability and continuous focus on learning and development
- History of consistently fulfilling role responsibilities
Job Duties
- Execute menu items from start to finish including preparation of ingredients, butchery of proteins, cooking and plating of menu items
- Participate in the preparation and development of new menu items
- Hone existing skills while learning new techniques and building skill set
- Work collaboratively with back of house and front of house staff
- Maintain cleanliness of back of house work areas including refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas
- Participate in deep cleaning of back of house work areas
- Support other team members and foster a positive work environment
