Job Requirements

18 plus years old
Reliable transportation required
Ability to follow manager instructions and guidance
Ability to communicate and behave professionally at all times
Friendly and engaging demeanor
Prior kitchen work experience preferred
High school degree or GED preferred
Reading, writing, basic math, and verbal communication skills required
Ability to be a team player
ServeSafe Food certificate a plus
Bi-lingual experience a plus

Job Duties

Completes all assigned prep work and sets up cook station according to station
Maintains product presentations, product quality, and cook time
Prepares all menu items according to Applebee's recipes and plate presentations
Maintains a clean and organized work area
Practices safe and sanitary food handling at all times
Cleans and sanitizes the work area before, during, and after shifts
Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning tasks
Effectively manages inventory using FIFO method
Controls food waste, spoilage, and food costs
Temps all food items per health standards
Receives all incoming food deliveries
Clocks in tickets and assures ticket cook times meet or exceed company and brand requirements
Performs general utility work including scraping and pre-rinsing dishes, washing pots, pans and trays by hand or machine
Cleans work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, and cooking equipment
Removes trash and garbage to the dumpster
Cleans garbage cans and trash bins
Assembles, maintains, and breaks down dishwashing stations
