Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • Minimum 2 years of cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to read and follow recipes and safety procedures
  • Physical ability to lift and move items up to 100 lbs
  • Manual dexterity to use kitchen tools
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and confined spaces
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts including nights and weekends
  • Basic English proficiency for communication

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • Preferably 2 years of cooking experience, especially broiler cooking
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
  • Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
  • Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • Basic math skills to understand recipes and portion sizes
  • Basic English language skills to communicate and understand team instructions
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • Ability to operate beverage equipment like coffee makers

Job Duties

  • Prepares daily preparation lists for production
  • Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • Prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications to ensure consistency
  • Visually inspects and selects only food items of the highest standard
  • Checks and controls proper storage of products and portion control
  • Keeps refrigeration, equipment, storage, and working areas clean and compliant with health regulations
  • Maintains temperature logs and adheres to safety and security procedures
  • Assists other kitchen personnel as needed
  • Reports unsafe conditions and incidents to management
  • Performs related duties as requested by management
