Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training
- Safe Serve/Food Handler's Card
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work in a high pace and hot environment
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Willingness to follow written and verbal instructions
Job Qualifications
- Ability to use cooking metrics and conversion methods
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out one- or two-step instructions
- Familiarity with standardized cooking procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under supervision
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food consistent with hotel standards and quality
- Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and room service
- Prepare all ingredients before service begins
- Operate station efficiently and safely
- Practice serve-safe methods in food preparation, cooking, holding, and storage
- Produce excellent quality dishes
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and food sanitation standards
- Manage guest orders in a friendly and timely manner
- Visually inspect all food before serving
- Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items
- Use proper knife skills
- Maintain attendance, punctuality, and adhere to dress code
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
