Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • Minimum two years cooking experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and safety
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform duties in varying temperature conditions
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 operational environment

Job Qualifications

  • Hold a current Food Handler Card
  • Two years cooking experience preferred, broiler cooking experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
  • Good working knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
  • Knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • Basic mathematical skills related to recipes and portion sizes
  • Basic English language skills sufficient for communication and instruction
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions
  • Ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare daily preparation lists for production
  • Read and employ math skills to follow recipes
  • Prepare all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • Visually inspect, select, and use only food items of the highest standard
  • Check and control the proper storage of products and portion control
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper working conditions of refrigeration, equipment, and work areas
  • Maintain all logs related to cooling, heating, and temperatures
  • Adhere to company policies and safety procedures
  • Follow fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment and report unsafe conditions
  • Report accidents and injuries to management
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Assist other kitchen personnel as required
  • Perform related duties as requested by management
