Job Requirements
- Must be able to provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must pass mandatory drug test and criminal background check
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for 3 or more hours daily
- Must be able to perform repetitive hand motions throughout entire shift
- Must be able to work in environments with noise, dust, gas, flames, chemicals, temperature extremes, humidity, or wetness
- Must perform all essential duties with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
- Culinary degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Active California Food Handlers Certificate
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills
- Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations
Job Duties
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to recipes and presentation standards
- Provide consistent, safe, and sanitary food storage, preparation, and cooking
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
- Recognize and follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, and grains including proper storage
- Utilize leftovers effectively and control food waste
- Work cooperatively with team members and take direction from supervisors
- Maintain flexibility to adapt to changing kitchen needs and schedules
