Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree
- three years of related experience and/or training
- knowledge in advanced knife skills and ability to butcher and prepare proteins
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- ability to write simple correspondence
- strong communication skills
- ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions and percentages
- ability to solve practical problems
- understanding of relevant legal and safety regulations
- ability to work harmoniously with others
- valid Food Handler's certificate
- ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds daily
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- three years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- knowledge of advanced knife skills and ability to butcher and prepare all proteins
- ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence
- ability to write simple correspondence
- effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings
- basic mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, and ratios
- problem-solving ability with sound judgment
- understanding of legal concepts and regulations relevant to the food and beverage industry

- valid Food Handler's certificate
Job Duties
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to assist with planning menus
- prepare and serve sauteed, fried, grilled, steamed, and baked items following standardized recipes
- prepare all soups, stocks, sauces, boil, braise, and roast items
- ensure food quality, temperature, and presentation are maintained
- recognize and obtain necessary supplies for meal production
- portion food, add gravies and sauces, and garnish servings
- maintain a safe and sanitary workstation, including washing pots and pans
- assist management in identifying and remedying kitchen inefficiencies
- keep refrigerators and dry good shelves clean and organized
- maintain sterile kitchen environment and properly use kitchen chemicals
- break down and reset kitchen equipment as required
